Here at CLRI we take great pride in all our employees and participants alike, and are pleased to introduce you to some of our finest management teams that help directs the everyday operations of the Agency. These are group of staff operating at higher levels, generally responsible for implementing our business strategies and ensuring that CLRI business objectives are met. These are leaders in various capacities and have demonstrated history of professional experiences and long-term commitment to the individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, their family members as well as the development and delivery of quality support services.

INTRODUCING YOU TO FEW OF OUR TEAM MEMBERS:

Mary A. Onyejose, BS. MSc. – Executive Director and co-founder of CLRI. Mary is a leader and an inspiration to many in the field of human services. Mary has a Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Psychology, Leadership Development and Coaching. She is a certified trainer in First Aide, CPR, CPI, and Safety Care. Mary radiates high motivational energy to all CLRI employees and the participants alike. As an advocate for the Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, she maintains membership with two most powerful National Associations in this industry: The American Network of Community Options Resources “ANCOR” and the Association of People Supporting Employment First “APSE”

She exudes hope, enthusiasm, brightens every situation and put smiles on the faces of the most vulnerable in our communities. She utilizes high standards of excellence when instituting innovative ideas in developing employees and their career growth opportunities. The field of human services has been very exciting and a learning experience for Mary, and has enabled her to combine hard work and mentoring with the thrill of extending human service frontiers.

Over 24 years of experience in this industry has become a useful launching pad for Mary in dealing with the challenges ahead. An integral part of Mary’s professional responsibilities has been service to the community and the world in general. She has created and maintained mechanisms for short-term and long-term planning in the areas of service delivery for the elderly, children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Robert Sasseville, BA – Associate Executive Director has been in the field of human services for over 24 years serving the individuals with Intellectual Disabilities. He has worked for CLRI for the past fourteen years. Robert brings in a unique experience in dealing with the employees as well as advocating for the Participants rights, safety and quality living. Robert is a member of the Agency’s Executive committee that take leadership roles in fostering the established corporate culture that enables CLRI employees to perform in accordance with the Agency’s policies and procedures. Being knowledgeable of most aspect of the individuals with Intellectual Disabilities essential life needs “ELN”, enable Robert in defining quality service delivery and bring in great expertise to the industry that offers growth and excellence to all. Edekin Aigbodion, BA. MA – As a Director of Human Resources, Mr. Aigbodion supervises and provides consultation to the management on strategic staffing plans, staff compensation, benefits, trainings, and labor relations. Mr. Aigbodion is a member of the Agency’s Executive committee that take leadership roles in fostering the established corporate culture that enables CLRI employees to perform in accordance with the Agency’s policies and procedures. Kelly Deshaies, RN. BSN – Mrs. Deshaies brought in over ten years of solid nursing experience to Community Living of Rhode Island and rose to the position of the Agency’s nursing supervisor as a result of her dexterity and responsiveness to the call of duty. This is a culmination of Ms. Deshaies caring and trusting attitude to the Individuals with Intellectual disabilities “Participants”. She expanded her knowledge of nursing by educating the Participants about their medical conditions as well as establishing the needed trust and building rapport with them and their families. Ms. Deshaies was able to accomplish a lot with the Participants by constantly consulting with other external healthcare team and doctors in accessing Participants medical/service plans in order to implement quality medical care for all. Karen Cooper, MSW – Ms. Cooper joined Community Living of Rhode Island with over fifteen years of Social work experiences. Ms. Cooper holds a Bachelor of Science degree in social work and has worked as a Social worker and Case Manager supervising the Elderly Living apartment setting. At Community Living Ms. Cooper is responsible for the establishment and the maintenance all the established strategic direction and successful operations of all CLRI Residential and Alternative Residential programs. Ms. Cooper maximizes the provided resources to minimize barriers in accomplishing high quality Service delivery to all Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities. She ensures the overall management of the Agency’s programs with the support of the Agency’s well vast Coordinators in achieving CLRI goals and objectives accordance with the mission statement and established Policies and Procedures.
